A cute robot called "Briciola" is one of the four prototypes that IIS Amedeo Avogadro in Vercelli will bring to RomeCup 2018. How many students will man the stand in the showcase area? Who will have to give up the exciting adventure in Rome? The young engineers are organizing themselves, together with Professors Luca Oliva and Luciano Bossola. There will be at least ten of them, if not all 25!

The students will demo the operation of four robotic systems in the showcase area:

  • Rover with a mechanical arm controlled by an Arduino Mega Chipset and a single on-board computer (Raspberrypi3 with video camera). Functions include: manual command, follow course, intercept/follow object;
  • Intelligent mechanical arm with Raspberry Chipset that can recognise objects, intercept them and memorise movements;
  • Multi-user Vintage Game Console created with an Arduino Mega Chipset controller and a 2.8-inch TFT 2 Display (320x240 dpi) connected to a computer
  • Cat-robot that can walk and command various sensors.

Team “Iron 1” will compete in the Rescue Category.
