Implementing a project requires various phases, including monitoring and evaluation. Moreover, interviews – both formal and informal – with key project figures are fundamental, too. New technologies allow us to stay in constant touch with the many involved parties. E-mails and smartphones provide a constant flow of photos, videos and quick updates.

Prof Maria Di Seri from the Istituto Compensivo Antonio Rosmini in Rome, a project partner of “M-LEARN - Training Teachers to use mobile (hand held) technologies within mainstream school education,” and her young students sent us an e-mail:

[…] my students are really working hard. They now know how to search for and download information, create videos and cartoons, and make video lessons. We have overcome the tablet problem thanks to Santa Claus that brought tablets to many of my students! I am really very proud of them and notwithstanding the many difficulties (our Internet access only allows three connections) we are obtaining great results. They use my iPad to search for information then mail it to each other and then assemble it the next day at school. They love the challenge and my objective to excite them about research is practically accomplished!

A quick video lesson on the “temperature of colours.”
