Omniroma - WORK, MANZELLA (PL): DIGITAL COMPETENCES TO CONNECT YOUTH AND ENTERPRISE
Rome, 28 OCT - "Metropolitan cities are fulcrums of innovation. However, they are also the place where young men and women most easily loose sight of their objectives. In the suburbs of large cities, there is a high school dropout rate. Bringing innovation into school, teaching digital culture means not only raising the excitement of students for something they are very interested in, but also developing fundamental skills that can curb the school dropout rate. Investing in digital literacy is a must. It’s a request that comes directly from Europe. I have already presented a motion at the Council on this issue and this initiative has the same exact focus. The Lazio Region is hedging its bets on innovation in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and Roma Capitale, as well as the FMD and Google.".
