Astounding

If you visited the showcase area at the seventh edition of the Global Junior Challenge, you can’t have missed the long queue of children moving amongst the stands. The students from the

Istituto comprensivo Frosinone 4 acted as special reporters on innovation.

We don’t know if the children and teachers agreed beforehand (who knows what super teacher Sonia Gabrielli may say); nonetheless, the two primary school classes produced to very interesting videos.

Class IV A talked about innovation before participating in the Global Junior Challenge. The children took turns defining innovation in their classroom. And dome of the expressions are truly original.

Here is the first video entitled “Innovation is a Simple Thing”.

On the other hand, the children in Class IV C described innovation through the projects that interested them the most. This video could be called “I like …” as this is how most of the children express their interest.

Whether they wear glasses or not, all the children have an astounded look on what is happening in the world.

According to forecasts by Cathy Davidson, Director of the Futures Initiative at the New York City University and co-director of the MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Competitions, 65% of children who attend school will do a job that has not been invented yet.

And perhaps, these two classes from IC Frosinone 4 have some of the inventors of future jobs.
