CPIA Orientation

“As part of the PON Project, we are offering a course on graphic prototyping and creative printing at out fab lab. We have two small 3D printers and a laser cutter. We use inclusive methodologies, especially related to “learning by doing” to orient some of our most interested students in this type of activity.”

Italia Barbieri is a Professor of Technology at the Rome Provincial Adult Education Centre, CPIA4 on Via Palestro 4. The CPIA FabLabArt is a hub in the Network of Innovation Gyms and has also joined the ecosystem created by the three-year Smart & Heart Rome Programme, promoted with the City of Rome.

“The visit to the fab lab at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale Innovation Gym addressed these very issues, as some of our students, many of whom are migrants, are interested in lab activities, such as producing jewellery,” explains the Professor. “So, we thought that graphics could also have an orientational value for work.”
