At Forum PA 2026, two facilitators share their experiences gained at Digital Facilitation Centres

Digital security is not built solely on technology, but also on people’s skills. This is the central theme of the session “From knowledge to action: the role of the ACN in training digital facilitators”, scheduled for today, Wednesday 10 June, as part of Forum PA 2026.

Gabriele and Giuliano Colantoni, digital facilitators working in the Digital Facilitation Centres run by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will also be sharing their experiences. They will describe the work carried out across the country to support citizens of all ages in acquiring basic digital skills and understanding the main risks associated with online security.

The event, organised by the National Cybersecurity Agency in collaboration with the Department for Digital Transformation, provides an opportunity to take stock of the training programme for digital facilitators and the contribution these professionals are making to fostering a culture of cybersecurity that is accessible and attuned to people’s needs.

In the Digital Facilitation Centres, staff assist citizens, families and workers on a daily basis with using online services, accessing digital rights and acquiring the essential skills needed to participate fully in social and economic life.

Among the most frequently requested topics, the protection of personal data, recognising online scams, the secure management of digital identities and the informed use of related tools are increasingly prominent. In this context, the training promoted by the National Cybersecurity Agency has provided facilitators with tools and content to transform technical knowledge into concrete actions supporting citizens.

The Forum PA event therefore offers an opportunity to highlight an initiative that demonstrates how digital security is not merely a technological issue, but a widespread competence to be built together with communities, starting from local areas and individuals.
