Digital Identity

How many Italian citizens have activated their SPID? According to AGID’s monitoring, 4,215,012 citizens have activated the public digital identity system that allows access to the on-line services of the public administration with a single digital ID (username and password) that can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones.

Thanks to the support of tutor Madja, Roberto has finally activated his SPID. And this proved to be greatly satisfying at the end of the digital literacy course organised by European Project Inclusive Senior Education through Virtual U3A (ISEV), which involved 45 over-65s and three classes at the Rome IIS Piaget-Diaz School (35 students, 4 teachers and 3 associations participated).

Over the course of ten meetings, the students from the IIS Piaget DIaz School introduced the over-65s to the basics of computers and smartphones: from the creation of e-mail accounts to surfing the web and from public administration portals to the SPID. Each group was guided and helped to use the e-learning platform on which they could consult course texts and follow focus lessons on on-line security and privacy held by expert Marcello Pistilli [see news: The Toy Factory].
