At the Rome Maker Faire (Oct. 14-16 – see how to arrive), the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Fab Lab will present Design for Digital Schools, the first collection of furnishings for school labs [see map D19, Pav. 9]
Conceived to provide an answer to the needs of innovative didactics. The items have been studied to promote the integration of digital devices and experimental, practical activities. The furnishings are created through digital manufacturing techniques that can be replicated in any Fab Lab and can be distributed either ready for use or to be assembled.
The Phyrtual Innovation Gym Fab Lab staff will hold workshops for schools with digital manufacturing labs to produce these furnishings independently, and school-work programmes related to design courses.
