Project “BYE: Build Your Experience” (May 2016 - May 2017) has successfully ended. The project is an initiative by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale financed by Google for Education as part of the Google RISE Awards 2016 Programme, the yearly grant for non-profit organisations, to promote STEM subjects amongst young men and women with less access to the study of technical and scientific subjects.

The project employed coding, immersive tools and experiential storytelling labs to hold courses for over 800 children aged 6-16, with particular attention to students in the Lazio Region. The children were given the opportunity to develop indispensable technical-scientific competences to face their future and successfully enter the labour market.

The labs, held by female undergraduate and graduate students at Sapienza University in Rome together with a specialist in immersive reality and gaming, where held at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

For the first time, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym held a coding marathon for primary school children.
