It wasn’t planned. It took shape unexpectedly and then became “necessary” as it surprises, communicates and solicits our emotions with a strength of its own.

The video was developed in the Casa Circondariale di Regina Coeli, a prison in Rome, for Project 2R - Reset & Recode, a digital literacy course to introduce young detainees to the use of computers, coding and digital manufacturing. The project, which is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the CPIA 3 and directed by school administrator Ada Maurizio, also involved Phyrtual Innovation Gym Coaches Fiammetta Castagnini, Valentina Gelsomini and Matteo Viscogliosi. It was a complex course, intense and sometimes overbearing, but it somehow transformed everybody, coaches and students.

The experience of the protagonists became images and then a story thanks to the video shoots and editing by Fiammetta [@Fiammetta_FMD], who worked silently without attracting attention. And thus the work is theirs, including the title: "Affresco" (Fresco).
