Last Monday, the first day of Future ReCoded at IIS Ernesto Balducci in Pontassieve (Florence) began with a dynamic brainstorming session to focus on the ideas that students thought needed to be developed. The students then split up into six teams, directed and coordinated by Coach Manrico Diamantini (Microsoft Student Partner).

After the initial intensive training session that introduced students to a range of Microsoft tools (such as Visualstudio and Touch Developed) and other related instruments, the students started to work autonomously with on-line support (Channel 9 and Virtual Academy) for lessons and tutorials. The sessions were coordinated by Professors Marco Morandini and Rossella Calonaci, both IT professors, and followed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale staff.

The next appointment will be next Monday in Prato, at the Convitto Cicognini, with 55 students and Coach Diamantini. Fiammetta Castagnini will represent the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Project Future ReCoded (March 2016 - February 2017), which is financed by Microsoft YouthSpark and Fondazione Cariplo, and coordinated by Fondazione Filarete, aims to provide greater professional opportunities to young men and women throughout Italy through the development and practice of digital and technological skills.
