Italian Scratch Festival

The sixth edition of the Italian Scratch Festival will be held tomorrow, Saturday, May 13. This is a national initiative organised by the Associazione Dschola dedicated to Scratch, a software tool created at the Boston MIT lab that allows users to create simple programmes and games and drive digital creativity in young children.

Nearly ninety projects have been registered and will be judged by the Associazione Dschola, which has already conducted a pre-selection and chosen the bst projects in each category (primary school, secondary school, first degree secondary school and second degree secondary school).

The finalist projects will be present tomorrow morning at IIS Ettore Majorana in Grugliasco to a jury of experts that will select the winners. Visitors will be able to vote, too. Winners will receive technological awards and plaques created in the digital manufacturing lab of the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

The event in Turin, organised as part of Scratch Day 2017, is coordinated by the Associazione Dschola in collaboration with Dipartimento di Informatica dell'Università di Torino, Fondazione Mondo Digitale, CSP innovazione nelle ICT, TUnion Torino, CoderDojo Torino, and Museo Piemontese dell’Informatica MuPIn.
