The laser cutter is one of the many devices that you can find at the Fab Lab. In particular, Laser Cutter Co2 WL1290HS is a top-level machine that can cut and etch a wide range of materials, including organic materials and plastics (but not metal). Thanks to its versatility and simplicity, it can be used to quickly make a great variety of items. And we have already seen many of these: from original jewellery to the wings of a drone.
The laser cutter at the Fab Lab in the Phyrtual Innovation Gymworks with wood, Plexiglas, cardboard, leather, textile, paper and just about any other environmentally friendly material. Just like in sci-fi movies, a high-precision laser beam cuts these materials with absolute precision.
Next Saturday, November 15, Maker Mohamed Haiba will hold a workshop (3-5 pm) for Fab Lab members, volunteers and staff.
