Everyone collaborates on Making Drones as a volunteer and the project keeps expanding. When it registered for the Global Junior Challenge the school had already built 55 drones and a professional model was presented to Pope Francis as a gift. In fact, it was made by the youngest students on the course [see: Un drone per il Papa e la notizia fa il giro del mondo].
Why pursue a project on drones? “To develop some of the skills that are necessary to work in the new millennium,” explain the organisers. In particular, the project aims to improve four specific skills: problem solving in real contexts, team work, efficient communication and perseverance or the ability to reach a long-term objective through a series of steps.
