In partnership with Sci-Co+, two days of discussion at the Città della Scienza in Naples
Next week, on 7 and 8 May in Naples, the event New frontiers in scientific communication and the social role of museums in the 21st century is scheduled to take place, promoted by the IDIS - Città della Scienza Foundation as part of the European project Sci-Co+ – High Professional Skills for Advanced Science Communication, in collaboration with ICOM Italia and the regional coordinators of Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia and Sicily.
The event involves museums, universities, research centres and businesses in a shared reflection on the future of scientific communication and the social function of museums, including digital innovation, storytelling, sustainability and impact on communities.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is participating as a partner in the Sci-Co+ project, through which it promotes new hybrid forms of scientific communication that integrate artistic languages, digital tools and participatory practices. This approach is also reflected in the Italian experience of the Sci-Co+ project, launched with the aim of strengthening dialogue between science and society, making knowledge more accessible and inclusive, and enhancing the active role of young people in scientific dissemination.
Taking place at the same time as the RomeCup 2025, in the capital from 7 to 9 May, the Foundation is contributing to the event with its know-how in the fields of education and communication, developed over more than twenty years of activity in the field of social innovation, scientific education and digital citizenship.
