After thirty days, "There once was a … game," the first crowdfunding campaign launched by schools as part of Project  “Active Ageing and Solidarity Amongst Generations through Learning and Social Innovation.” The project is financed by the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity Amongst Generations (Italian Government, Family Policy).

The project involved 30 high schools and elderly centres in southern Italy [see news Local Welfare]. The final event was held on Wednesday in Palermo (see news Local Needs).

The virtuous relation of exchanges and collaboration between generations has given rise to 20 experimental, local social innovation actions: ranging from digital printing for disabled youth

This virtuous relationship has given rise to 20 experimental, local, social innovation actions ranging from a digital printing shop run by disabled students, conceived by students and elders in Biancavilla, to a dynamic museum that will infuse new life into old objects of daily life and work, developed by an intergenerational team in the Municipality of Randazzo. The students and elders were able to start a crowdfunding campaign on phyrtual.org, involving more actors in their project and opening up to new successful co-projecting experiences.

We wish everyone to continue successfully working together with the same enthusiasm we have witnessed over these months. Here is the audio message that was sent by Luciana Saccone, Director General, Family Policy Department, Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
