Perception and Immersion

Students from the Design Programme at the Israeli Shenkar College are in Rome for a week (March 13-20) to learn more about "Interface as an Object" Design thanks to academic collaboration programmes with Roman schools.

Today, the programme includes a lesson (2-6 pm) in the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Interaction Lab with Coach Emanuele Tarducci on the concepts of vision, perception and immersion. The students will experiment hands-on with immersive technology and light mapping techniques.

The Shenkar College in Tel Aviv is a unique academic institution in the Israeli education sector. Founded in 1970, it owes its name to the first President of the Israeli Manufacturing Association, Mr Arieh Shenkar. The College is also a research and development centre and provides ad hoc services including not only education, but also quality control and product tests on design, trends and technological innovation. The college’s on-going research in specific sectors has becoming its winning formula.
