Rising Youth Kicks Off with a Challenge

Event to inaugurate the 2nd edition at the Innovation Gym

A challenge for students will launch the second edition of Rising Youth, the project promoted with SAP, one of the top companies providing IT solutions to enterprise. Rising Youth is a course for high schools throughout Italy that drives students to discover and learn to use sustainable and intelligent technology. And not just about the cloud, Internet of Things and app development, but also with a focus on the design and presentation of an idea, from design thinking to public speaking. Participation in the project (Oct. 2022 – May 2023) is free. Students can earn 35 hours of PCTO credits.

 

Project phases

Kick-off and Challenge: Oct.  12, 2022, 10-13

The event  will be held in presence for schools in the Province of Rome at the Innovation Gym on Via del Quadraro 102 and shared via live streaming with schools throughout the rest of Italy.

Expert Training: six webinars will be held with SAP experts to learn about low-code development technology. Each webinar lasts one hour, from 3-4 pm.

  • November 16, 2022 – Chatbot: Speaking with Artificial Intelligence
  • December 14, 2022 – Appgyver: Rapidly Developing an App
  • January 18, 2023 – Internet of Things: Our New Senses
  • February 15, 2023 – IRPA: Automation to Conquer Boredom
  • March 15, 2023 – Intelligence in Company Processes
  • April 19, 2023 – Experience Management

Prototyping and Supervision: from March to May 2023, the teams that have developed one or more ideas to meet the challenge will be supervised by expert trainers in prototyping and developing software. 

RomeCup 2023, final awards ceremony and prototype presentation: At the event dedicated to robotics organised and promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, the teams will compete in a final hackathon. A jury will proclaim the winners.

REGISTRATION: following the registration of the class or PCTO coordinator, each student will be able to create their own profile on the FMD Academy Platform to access the recorded lessons, didactic material and tutoring.
