A dedicated stand for Sapienza University to showcase the key figures of the 19th edition
For the second consecutive year, Rai News is the content media partner of RomeCup, the multi-event promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS and dedicated to innovation and the younger generation. The 2026 edition, scheduled for 28 to 30 April at Sapienza University of Rome and Campidoglio, focuses on young talent and their role in the convergence of artificial intelligence, robotics and the humanities.
Once again this year, the publication is covering the event with a digital marathon from a dedicated hub, gathering interviews, videos and accounts from the key players: students, researchers, lecturers, representatives from institutions, universities, research centres and companies. An editorial section that allows readers to explore the various facets of RomeCup, from robotics competitions to workshops, from projects with businesses to public debates on major technological transformations.
The timeline launched by RaiNews.it conveys in real time the essence of an event that does not merely showcase technologies, but fosters opportunities for dialogue across generations, disciplines and perspectives. At its heart lie the questions currently shaping education, research, work and citizenship: how can artificial intelligence be used responsibly? What skills are needed to steer innovation? How can we harness the talent of young people within new technological ecosystems?
RomeCup thus also becomes a collective narrative: a space where innovation finds its voice through the experiences of those who study, design, teach and put it at the service of people. A narrative that runs throughout the three days of the event and helps make the discussion on the technologies transforming our present accessible to a wider audience.
The corner will feature a rotation of journalists: Francesca Oliva (deputy editor), Luca Garosi, Carlotta Urbani, Vanessa Quinto, Mariavittoria Savini.
