Scaling Catania

In 2019, Davide Russo, a student at the Istituto tecnico Archimede in Catania, received a special mention from the Global Junior Challenge for his project entitled Catania Yesterday and Today, which “he developed autonomously with the support of the school and his family. This is a complex project that aims to promote the city in which he lives. He employed a wide range of technical skills together with an extraordinary sensitivity for his age, a truly virtuous example for other students.”

“Facing so many students with such curiosity was extremely exciting.” In his short video message from Catania, Davide describes the excitement of the ninth edition of the GJC, including his trip to Rome with his family and the run up to the new challenges. “I met people who motivated me never to stop using my imagination and creativity.”

What will Davide unveil at the tenth edition? “All I know is that I’m definitely participating!” he answers.
