They have been set up in Rome's XV Municipality
Seven new digital facilitation centres are now operational in Rome's XV Municipality, designed to offer free support to citizens in the use of digital services and to promote a culture of accessible and inclusive innovation.
Municipality XV is the largest in terms of territory (187.31 km², the same size as the municipality of Pisa) and has a population of approximately 160,000, similar in size to the city of Ravenna. It has a high incidence of single-person households (44.4%) and an ageing index higher than the city average (145.5 compared to 163.8). The foreign presence is significant, with a percentage of 18.8%, well above the average for Rome (13.1%).
The centres are located at:
- Punto Roma Facile in Via Cassia 472
- Spazio Giano in Via Vitorchiano 113
- Punto Roma Facile in the Grottarossa market
- Tomba di Nerone Senior Citizens' Centre (Via Cassia 737)
- Labaro Senior Citizens' Centre (Via Brembio 1)
- Prima Porta Senior Citizens' Centre (Via Inverigo 28)
- Spazio di Via Offanengo 18
Co-designed and co-managed by Roma Capitale with the PNRR Strategic Planning Department, together with four social promotion associations and coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, the new spaces are part of the Network of Digital Facilitation Centres implemented with the Lazio Region.
Facilitators provide personalised assistance to users: from managing SPID (the Italian digital identity system) to booking medical appointments online, from uploading documents to public platforms to safe internet browsing. The centres also organise information sessions and practical workshops to strengthen everyone's digital autonomy.
With the activation of the seven new points in Municipio XV, the number of centres already operating throughout Rome rises to over 40. The project involves the opening of a total of 100 spaces, with the aim of reaching every neighbourhood and building a local network that promotes the digital and social inclusion of the population.
