On their first visit to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, second year students from the Istituto comprensivo Via dell'Archeologia first-degree secondary school, will experiment with the Lego WeDo Kit.
 
The aspiring young designers, aged 11-12, will be helped by Engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba, to discover all the potential of the Lego Mindstorms NXT Kit, a system of smart bricks that can be programmed in open source.
 
The kit contains:
  • ONE NXT 32-bit smart brick and rechargeable battery
  • 500-element construction system
  • Three interactive servomotors with integrated decoders
  • Ultrasound distance sensor
  • Sound sensor
  • Light sensor
  • Pressure sensor
 
Laboratories at the Robotics Centre are held every day except for Wednesday through June 2015.
