Starting Again Together

The health emergency has shown us how important it is to take care both of ourselves and others. A collaboration between the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases (INMI), the Regione Lazio and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has led to a project on nearness and solidarity to contrast the isolation of elders and help them use on-line health services.

Project Insieme si riparte – Starting Again Together – allows young men and women to work with local medical organisations to ensure the wellbeing and health of over-65s during the health emergency. The pilot version of the project will be run by the ASL Roma 3, which will provide the community with the intergenerational learning model and the help of the Network of Knowledge Volunteers.

The project aims to manage the health emergency in an inclusive manner, accelerate the digitalisation of the Regione Lazio, promote access to new health services by all citizens, and improve the digital skills of the population that is at greatest risk of exclusion.

The project involves:

  • Over-65s
  • Volunteers
  • Family doctors
