He is one of ten curators selected for the Venice Art Biennale
Valentino Catricalà, curator and scholar of contemporary art and new technologies, is among the ten finalists selected for the role of curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 61stedition of the International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.
With the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Valentino conceived, curated and created the Media Art Festival, an original event dedicated to digital art that has managed to combine artistic creativity, scientific research and technological innovation, involving cultural institutions, companies and young talents over the years.
Catricalà's candidacy confirms the value of a journey that began in Rome with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and has conquered international spaces, from the Maxxi to the Soda in Manchester, to recent experiences in the Middle East.
To retrace some of the stages of this journey, we are sharing a selection of interviews and insights that recount his vision, curatorial experience and ability to build connections between different worlds.
A big good luck from all the staff and friends of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale for this new and prestigious challenge!
