Virtual Reality Meets History

At RomeCup 2016, Italian Air Force Lt. Col. Paolo Nurcis participated in the debate on “Research and Innovation: from virtual reality to drones,” with the head of the ENEA Robotics Lab Claudio Moriconi, Prof Silvello Betti (University of Tor Vergata) and Nicola Formicola from the Air Movie Lab start-up.

 

In this brief video, Paolo Nurcis explains the importance of virtual reality for teaching history.

 

Young men and women who are interested in learning more about virtual reality and immersive tools can participate in the free labs held at the Officina – New Jobs Workshop. In particular, the Immersive Lab is a research, development and training environment equipped with state-of-the-art technology (i.e., CAVE VR, Oculus Rift, Emotiv Neurofeedback) for the study of sensorial and emotional immersion applied to cinema, videogames, virtual reality and other classic and new media.

 

 

I giovani che sono interessati a scoprire realtà virtuale e strumenti immersivi possono partecipare ai laboratori gratuiti dell’Officina dei Nuovi Lavori. L’Immersive Lab, in particolare, è un ambiente di ricerca, sviluppo e formazione, dotato di tecnologie pionieristiche (es. CAVE VR, Oculus Rift, Emotiv Neurofeedback), per lo studio dell’immersione sensoriale ed emozionale che caratterizza nuovi e vecchi media: cinema, videogiochi, attrazioni tematiche, realtà virtuale.
