Young people, cities and migration

Alfonso Molina among the speakers at Changemaker Days 2025 in Milan

To mark 10 years of Ashoka in Italy, the second edition of Changemaker Days, a national event dedicated to social innovation and the co-creation of systemic solutions, will be held in Milan on 22 and 23 October 2025. A great laboratory of ideas that brings together over 400 change makers: social entrepreneurs, young changemakers, activists, educational leaders, companies and foundations.

As part of the programme, on 22 October at 4.30 p.m., the scientific director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Alfonso Molina, will be among the speakers at the special session of the European tour Hello Europe, promoted by Ashoka to give voice to stories, solutions and systemic changes built together with people on the move.

The participatory session ‘Reimagining Migration in Urban Spaces’ explores how cities and young changemakers are redefining the future of migration, transforming the challenges of inclusion into opportunities for social cohesion. Through dynamic dialogue and the sharing of concrete experiences, the meeting highlights collaborations that challenge exclusion and promote a sense of belonging in urban contexts.

In particular, the following questions will be addressed:

  • What co-design processes are cities activating to build inclusive futures with and for migrant communities?
  • What is the role of young changemakers in rethinking participation and civic identity?
  • How can effective alliances be built between multiple actors and sectors, capable of producing systemic change?

In this space for discussion, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale brings its experience in promoting young talent, building inclusive intercultural communities and developing educational ecosystems capable of responding to social change, including through digital technology and social innovation.
