The Third Edition of Job Digital Lab

Training as a tool for liberty and inclusion

When we speak about labour and training, some data provides a better picture than others on the current situation: 

  • Need to strengthen basic digital skills throughout Italy and the need to overcome the skill mismatch (the skill gap between what is learned at school and what is required by the working world)
  • Low percentage of trained Italians (lifelong learning)
  • Gender gap in the so-called she-session. 

Moreover, the pandemic accelerated our refocusing on ourselves and our health, on the search for new freedoms and goals. And these often require new skills.

On October 5, from 10.30 to 12.00, at the Rome Binario F (Via Marsala 29 H), we invite you to participate in “Mind the Digital Gap,” an event organised for the third edition of the Job Digital Lab Programme to contribute to the discussion of these issues and the proposal of solutions and new training options to satisfy current needs.

The event will be moderated by Journalist Maria Pia Ebreo. Speakers include:

Paolo Iacci, work psychologist, manager, professor of “Human Resources Management,” and President of AIDP Promotion  (Italian Association for the Direction of Personnel). Together with Umberto Galimberti, Iacci authored “Dialogo sul lavoro e la felicità” (Dialogue on Work and Happiness).

Paolo Iabichino has been an advertising copywriter since 1990. He has most recently been in WPP as Executive Creative Director for the Ogilvy Italia Group. Today, he works on communication projects for organisations that aim to change their approach. Hoepli has assigned him the editorial direction of the “Tracce” Collection. Moreover, with Ipsos Italia, he founded the Civic Brands Observatory, an editorial and research project addressing the social impact of companies and brands in Italy.

Laura Castellani, Director General of the Fondazione ITS SI (Istituto Tecnico Superiore Servizi alle Imprese).

Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, a non-profit organisation, one of the first successful cases of collaboration between public and private organisations with a strong public service mission.

Silvia Colombo, Head of External Communication & CSR at ING, a Dutch bank that is now present in 40 countries around the world with over 39 million clients and 57,000 personnel. Today, it is one of the top digital banks in Italy by number of clients (1,300,000); seven out of ten clients use its app which provides simple and immediate service. Innovation aimed at providing a unique customer experience with attention to sustainability are two key elements for ING, which has decided to lend €700 billion for green and sustainable projects.
