Digital violence against women

How to recognise it and how to defend yourself

In recent years, murders against women have decreased, with the lowest number recorded in 2024, but reports are on the rise and forms of digital violence remain a cause for concern: control of social media by partners, requests to share mobile phone locations, forced deletion of personal accounts, online stalking. On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and the Observatory on Gender and Domestic Violence, is promoting a training and awareness session dedicated to the risks associated with digital technology and the promotion of a culture of respect and online safety.

The meeting is part of the Vivi Internet, al meglio (Live the Internet to the fullest) project, with the support of Google.org. Now in its fifth year, the project aims to help people surf the web safely, consciously and responsibly, with a particular focus on the role of families and teachers.

The meeting will be accessible remotely.

Target audience: Ministry of Justice employees, educators (parents and teachers)

FMD trainer: Claudia Campisi, occupational psychologist and specialist in Health Psychology, career coach, HR, contract university lecturer.
