Valentina Gelsomini guest on TGCom24 to talk about the Pathway Companion project
Today, Saturday 17 May, at 5 p.m., Valentina Gelsomini, head of technical infrastructure and educational resources at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be a guest on the in-depth programme Artificial Intelligence. Luci e ombre (Light and Shadow), broadcast on TGCom24 and hosted by Matteo Flora, digital strategy expert and lecturer.
Each week, the programme explores the impact of artificial intelligence on professions and society, alternating between positive perspectives (light) and critical analysis (shadow). In each episode, the host and an expert in the field offer a concrete, professional and multidisciplinary view of how AI is already transforming the present and what implications it may have for the future.
During the interview, Valentina Gelsomini shares her experience gained in the Pathway Companion project, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with the support of Google.org. This is an AI-based learning platform that, among other features, offers intelligent tutoring to support caregivers (teachers, support teachers, healthcare professionals, social and healthcare workers and parents) and children and young people with special educational needs in their education and online safety.
It is an opportunity to reflect, also in the field of education, on how artificial intelligence can become a tool for human development if designed and used in an ethical, transparent and inclusive manner.
