The new UNI 12000:2025 standard updates and replaces the previous regulatory reference
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS renews its commitment to preventing and combating bullying, having obtained certification in accordance with the new UNI 12000:2025 standard, which updates and replaces the previous regulatory reference.
The certification, issued by Dasa-Rägister S.p.A., attests to the compliance of the Foundation’s management system with the latest requirements regarding the prevention and combating of bullying, confirming a structured and ongoing commitment to quality.
An update that reinforces an initiative already underway
The Foundation was already among the first organisations in Italy to have adopted a certified system for the prevention of bullying. The transition to UNI 12000:2025 represents a natural evolution of this commitment: not a break with the past, but an update that strengthens methodologies, tools and processes.
The new standard introduces an even more systematic approach, which integrates:
- prevention and intervention
- training of educational staff
- continuous monitoring of contexts
- progressive improvement of the management system.
A certified management system
The certification covers the management system for the prevention and combating of bullying adopted by the Foundation, which has been verified and recognised as compliant with the requirements of the international standard.
As indicated in the certificate, compliance is subject to an annual surveillance programme and a full review every three years, to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of the system. The certification is valid until 4 December 2027, with the latest update issued on 16 March 2026.
A commitment spanning multiple regions
The certified system applies to the Foundation’s various operational sites, including Rome, Milan and Turin, confirming a scalable and consistent organisational model across the whole country.
From certification to educational practice
Certification is not merely a formal milestone, but an operational tool that supports the Foundation’s educational activities: from school-based programmes to digital citizenship initiatives, right through to projects aimed at teachers, families and educational communities.
Within this framework, bullying prevention is an integral part of a broader approach that focuses on:
- student wellbeing;
- the development of interpersonal and emotional skills;
- the responsible use of technology;
- shared responsibility between schools, families and the local community.
Continuity and updates
The “historical” page dedicated to certification remains a point of reference for recounting the Foundation’s journey. The update to UNI 12000:2025 represents its most recent development, in line with the commitment to building safe, inclusive educational environments capable of addressing the challenges of the present.
