The socio-educational area of Programme Integra in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale have produced Comunic-ar(t) 2.0, an innovative project experimenting with innovative labs for the development of projects to promote the communicational and creative skills of children aged 3-11.

The objective of the project, funded by Roma CapitaleMunicipio VII - Direzione Socio Educativa, is to test innovative labs to facilitate and develop processes of integration and socialisation for the younger generations, with a special focus on the cognitive and affective dimensions, education and identity development.

The identification of spaces in which children will be able to freely experiment with their abilities and potential, as well as a wide range of different didactic labs held by specialists with holistic methodologies, will aim to efficiently help children in the process of learning by discovery. This, in turn, will promote both their understanding of themselves and their relations with others.

In particular, the programme will focus on a range of educational methodologies, including games for psychomotor expression, games based on cooperation and trust, relaxation techniques. The intent is to drive creative expression and allow the children to share and communicate their experiences, even with the active involvement of their families.

The project will also field further actions:

  • Cultural mediation events – either proximate or distance
  • Teacher training courses for those working with minors at risk of deviance
  • Activation of an on-line psycho-social help desk to help families and parents with their issues
  • Development of a collaborative video with the various different points of view of the protagonists through digital storytelling
  • Development of a monitoring and evaluation plan with questionnaires after each activity, semi-structured interviews to personnel, and the creation of tools for project evaluation.
