Digital Generations

The 2014-15 school year will witness the beginning of the 13th edition of the Grandparents on the Internet, the digital literacy programme for the elderly. To register for the programme, please complete the application form and send it via fax to 06.42.000.442 or via e-mail to c.stajano@mondodigitale.org

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale began to address active ageing and inter-generational solidarity in 2002 with the first agreement signed with the Ministry of Innovation and the City of Rome that gave rise to the Grandparents on the Internet Programme in Rome.

To date, over the course of twelve editions, the project has presented certificates to 22,200 senior web surfers (65% women), guided by 17,100 student tutors and 1620 coordinating teachers. The intergenerational learning methodology has become an international and transnational methodology. In fact, the project is now implemented in 18 different local formats (ranging from Nonni SUD Internet to The Knowledge Volunteers) and is present in 18 Italian regions and 11 European countries
