During the last editions of RomeCup, they were on the side-lines, organising exciting football demos for younger children, including the Nao penalty shootout. In the meantime, however, they were training for RoboCup 2019. Team SPQR is composed of engineers and researchers from “A. Ruberti” Department of Information, Control and Management Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. Now, they are in Sydney, competing in RoboCup 2019 (Sydney, July 2-8, 2019) with their fun humanoid Naos that we met at the Rome Campidoglio.
Team SPQR is coordinated by Daniele Nardi, Professor of Artificial Intelligence, along with Luca Iocchi, Associate Professor. The Team manager is Domenico Bloisi. The team also includes Vincenzo Suriani (Software Development Leader), Dario Albani, Francesco Del Duchetto, Armando Nania, Ali Youssef, Matteo Cecchini, Marco Paolelli, Tiziano Manoni, Emanuele Antonioni and Ester Latini (Social Media Manager).
