Generational Challenge

Today, in Umbria, Project Fai da noi will end with a double challenge: a Jam Session with the Lego Serious Play Methodology and a Coding Marathon. The appointment is at ITAS Giordano Bruno in Perugia, the school administered by Silvio Improta.

After two digital literacy courses for 20 over-65s with 40 students from years 3-5 and two digital manufacturing labs on fashion and aides, old and young work together again to identify innovative solutions for active ageing.

The intergenerational teams will work together on three challenges:

  • Independence
  • Custom-tailored medical cures
  • Active participation in life

The workday will open with a Jam Session with the Lego Serious Play Method. Then, there will be a creativity marathon. Over-65s will be able to represent the effective needs of elders, helping the younger partners to develop useful and innovative solutions. The teams will be helped by Eleonora Curatola, while the activities will be directed by Cecilia Stajano, Senior Fondazione Mondo Digitale Coach and Certified Facilitator for the Lego® Serious Play® Method and the MTa Learning Methodology.

For the creative hackathon, the teams will have to develop a presentation to illustrate their solution. They will have three minutes for an elevator pitch to convince the jury of the validity of their idea. The jury will select the three winning teams.

At the end of the event, all participants will receive a participation certificate and the elders will present a certification of their gratitude to their tutors.
