Lucky Fab Lab

As part of the School Makers training day, Prof Filippo Rosi at the Liceo Faraday told Ana Lain about the first year of the school’s Fab Lab, a member of the National Network of Phyrtual Innovation Gyms.

Thanks to its location on the ground floor, the Fab Lab attracts and entices everyone to come in and take a look.

This, in fact, is how parents started coming in and offering to collaborate, even just with cleaning and putting things back in order. This is why Filippo Rosi describes it a “lucky fab lab.”

"The Fab Lab helps us experiment with our ideas,” explains year-two student Alessandro. Two other friends were introduced to the lab through Robotics.

They were at the RomeCup to cheer for their classmates’ team and became so curious they decided to learn more about it. And now they have learned how to build and programme small robots at the Fab Lab.
