Maker Licenses

During the school year, a group of students from the Istituto comprensivo B. Telesio, lead school in Reggio Calabria for Project OpenSpace, were involved in a series of weekly meetings held by Irene Caretti and Matteo Viscogliosi. The aspiring digital artisans create a wide range of works, including Christmas decorations, digital herbariums, mobile sculptures, etc.

The students were motivated and gratified also thanks to the special “Young Maker License” that has become a tool for acquiring credits for their school programme.

Now that the school year has ended, the young makers are happy to show off their license from the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. The license was created and issued by Prof. Giovanna Vadalà, a collaborator of the school’s director, Marisa Guglielmina Maisano.

“Our young makers would like to thank all the experts at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and they are very proud of their licenses. Some of them have even participated in the ESA Camp Moon, designing a lunar base and receiving the participation certificate,” writes Giovanna, who has sent us a great photo.

Project  "OpenSPACE – Active Participation Spaces for the Educational Community" allows selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to contrast the educational poverty of minors (Adolescence Call), is a four-year project to make communities inclusive and responsible for promoting the educational and cultural growth, as well as to empower pre-adolescents and adolescents. The project is implemented in suburban areas of Bari, Milan, Palermo and Reggio Calabria.
