Coding Girls: hackathon winners at the University of Cagliari

Today’s hackathon at the University of Cagliari, an event of the national Coding Girls Tour, involved 56 students from three local high schools (Pacinotti, Dettori and Brotzu), organised into 13 teams to address the challenge of measuring social impact through an app developed with Marvel software. 

The work session was coordinated and supervised by Prof. Maria Cristina Carrisi, Orientation Coordinator for the Computer Studies Programme, together with Federico Meloni and Roberta Angioni

MOST INNOVATIVE PROJECT

EcoHome - Team Clism from Liceo classico G.M. Dettori, members: Sofia Insinna, Irene Lao, Margherita Medda, Lavinia Persico, Cristiana Zuncheddu.

An app to measure and monitor home consumption (energy, waste, etc.).

    

MOST INCLUSIVE PROJECT

Diabetapp - Team “I numeri 1” from IIS G. Brotzu, members: Gaia Paribello, Silvia Raccis, Chiara Ballò, Gabriele Chirri.

An app for diabetics that analyses glycemic levels via bluetooth, providing information on values and foods that can be consumed.

MOST CREATIVE PROJECT

Friendly Bike - Team “Su stampu” from Liceo scientifico Pacinotti, members: Christian Oldeman, Marta Torrico, Francesco Orrù, Francesco Setti.

An app for bicycle riders that indicates possible routes and times, also logging burned calories and avoided emissions.
