Princess and Unicorn

Sophie and Alice, two nine-year-old students at the Istituto comprensivo Aldo Fabrizi in Rome, were at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to develop a story with Scratch in the “BYE: Build Your Experience” Lab held by Lara Forgione.

As in many classic stories for children, their story includes a princess and a fantastic animal, the magical unicorn.

In their first interview, Sophie and Alice describe how they collaborated to produce the digital story and learned about immersive reality with the Google Cardboard visor.

The lab has been organized as part of Project “BYE: Build Your Experience” (May 2016 - May 2017), an initiative by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale financed by Google for Education as part of the Google RISE Awards 2016, the annual grant reserved for non-profit organisations that promote STEM disciplines amongst youth with less access to the study of scientific and technical subjects.
