With the AI Jump! project at the Innovation Gym
From 3 to 5 June, fifteen young people from Trapani took part in an intensive course at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to learn how to use artificial intelligence in their job search and in developing their professional skills. An immersive experience that combined training, practical exercises and opportunities for discussion, with a particular focus on the participants’ personal stories and discoveries.
The course is part of the three-year AI Jump! programme, led by the Simplon Foundation and funded by the Accenture Foundation, which operates in Italy, France and Spain. The aim is clear: to bridge the digital divide and make generative AI an accessible tool for those building or rebuilding their professional future.
Over the three days, participants worked on immediately applicable skills: from analysing their professional profile to revising their CVs, from tailoring applications to preparing for interviews using AI-based simulators. The participants’ testimonies were particularly significant, forming the very heart of the project.
Ruben says he has finally understood how to structure an effective CV and how to write a cover letter that truly speaks for itself. “I’ve discovered tools I can use straight away, without fear of making mistakes,” he says.
Luana, meanwhile, shares the most significant moment of the course: “I’ve realised that AI should be a support, not a replacement. I’m going home with a new understanding of how to use it in a useful and responsible way.”
Renato Beraldini, the course trainer, also highlights the value of the experience: one of the days concluded with a mock interview that allowed participants to test themselves and recognise the skills demanded by today’s job market. “I’ve seen them grow in confidence and independence,” he says.
AI Jump thus continues to create inclusive spaces where technology does not replace people, but supports them. And where every participant can find a starting point to imagine new career opportunities.
