Prodigy, the story of the meeting in Reggio Calabria
On 10 July, the Agape Community Centre in Reggio Calabria hosted a local meeting for the European project Prodigy. Promoting Digital and Green Skills for Youth, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The event was an opportunity for listening, dialogue and activation aimed at young people in the area, particularly those going through the delicate transition phase between study, training and work. The meeting was attended by young people, third sector organisations, cooperatives, profit and non-profit organisations, giving rise to an open discussion on the challenges and opportunities related to youth employability, the digital transition and environmental sustainability.
During the day, the free training course offered by the Foundation was presented, with certified online courses on:
- digital skills (basic and advanced)
- social media marketing
- data analysis
- web design
- green jobs and sustainability.
Watch the video by Bruno Salvatore Latella, a young participant and digital artist, who created a short reportage recounting the emotions and reflections that emerged during the meeting.
‘The Prodigy event was extremely interesting and stimulating, especially because we talked about what digital technology can be and what our future holds in an increasingly connected world. Digital technology not only connects us, but also helps us in our work and in building new bridges and new ideas. Through digital technology and information, we can achieve a more informed and increasingly united world,’ says Bruno Salvatore Latella.
