Interview with Mirta Michilli on the Realtime SPS Italia portal
The She SPS Italia section of the Realtime SPS Italia portal has published an interview with Mirta Michilli, co-founder and general manager of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, an Italian non-profit organisation dedicated to digital inclusion.
The She SPS Italia section collects stories and visions of women who are contributing to the innovation of industrial and social processes, bringing new and inclusive perspectives to digital transformation.
In the interview, Michilli recounts the stages of her experience, from coordinating the process that led Rome to the presidency of the European Telecities Network to the creation of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale: ‘With the civic drive of Tullio De Mauro and the scientific support of Prof. Alfonso Molina, we transformed the organisation into a powerful public service tool to promote social innovation, combat all forms of exclusion and build a democratic knowledge society.’
Today, the Foundation operates in partnership with over 40 countries and focuses its efforts on schools and the younger generation: ‘We are convinced that education for life in the 21st century cannot do without creating personal and collective awareness of the impact of the “great acceleration” on our lives.’
To measure the impact of its activities, the Foundation adopts the Real-time Evaluation methodology developed by scientific director Alfonso Molina, ‘a dynamic and adaptive approach that allows for the continuous monitoring and improvement of social innovation processes.’
