Tomorrow, Thursday 30 October, at the Coffee House in Palazzo Colonna (Piazza dei Santi Apostoli 67, Rome), a public conference will be held entitled On the bits of competitiveness. Digital skills and infrastructure for an Italy looking to the future, organised by the Institute for Competitiveness (I-Com) in collaboration with Ores. Observatory on Next Generation Networks and Services.
The meeting is an opportunity to present the I-Com Ores 2025 Report, which provides a snapshot of the evolution of the Italian and European digital landscape, analysing the adoption of emerging technologies, the levels of digital competence of citizens and businesses, and the development of the infrastructure necessary to support the country's transformation.
During the morning, representatives from institutions, academia and large technology companies will take turns discussing the progress of the Digital Decade 2030 objectives and Italy's positioning in the context of the new space economy.
Among the scheduled speeches is that of Director General Mirta Michilli, in the panel ‘Demand and skills for an artificial intelligence-friendly country’, scheduled for 10 a.m.
The contribution of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale focuses on the urgency of building inclusive educational ecosystems capable of promoting integrated digital and social skills and guiding a transition towards conscious, accessible and person-centred artificial intelligence.
