Amongst Generations

Based on the success of the first edition of Project “Amongst Generations - United for Work,” FMD, CNA Pensionati and Google are focusing on the intergenerational learning method once again to teach adults and elders about new technologies and create new job opportunities for young men and women.

The second edition will involve four Italian regions (Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Sicily and Veneto), 12 schools, 400 students and ca. 200 members of Cna Pensionati. The project involves the exchange of competences and skills amongst the younger and older generations. The first bring technology and innovation, while the latter bring a rich cultural heritage that they can transfer to the younger generations. The project is based on three fundamental elements: “made in Italy,” innovation and the exchange of knowledge.

The first school at work is the Istituto Tito Sarrocchiin Siena that kicked off project activities during the first week of December (see news: Generations in Siena). Today – Tuesday, January 20 – the Liceo scientifico P. Ruggeri in Marsala joins in, too. The following table summarises the various challenges that await the four regions to become a true laboratory for integration and social innovation.
