With two workshops for students at ‘Fa la cosa giusta!’
Once again this year, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is participating in Fa' la cosa giusta!, the fair dedicated to critical consumption and sustainable lifestyles scheduled from 13 to 15 March, with two educational workshops for students as part of the activities of the Digital Facilitation Centres.
The workshops will take place next Friday, 13 March, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will involve five secondary school classes from Lombardy, for a total of over one hundred students. The classes participating are 3ª AC and 5ª AC from the Decio Celeri comprehensive school in Lovere, 5ª B from the ISIS Romagnosi school in Erba, 2ª CA from the IIS Bertarelli-Ferraris school in Milan and 4ª A SIA from the IIS E. Mattei school in Rho.
The activities are led by Sabrina D'Avolio, a trainer from the Foundation, with the support of the project team, which will also collect testimonials and document the activities.
Artificial intelligence and digital awareness
The first workshop, Is artificial intelligence neutral? A practical analysis of changing technology, is an interactive course designed to help students understand what artificial intelligence really is and how it works.
Through concrete examples and participatory activities, students explore:
- the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning
- the main applications and tools based on AI
- the opportunities and risks associated with the use of data (bias, privacy, ethics)
- the conscious use of generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot.
The aim is to develop critical thinking and digital citizenship skills, helping students to recognise that technology is not neutral but reflects choices, data and social contexts.
Navigating the changing world of work
The second workshop, Work and the future. Data, skills and tools for tackling the work of tomorrow, guides students in reflecting on the evolution of the world of work.
Starting from up-to-date data and trends, the workshop offers an overview of how professions, skills and opportunities are changing, with the aim of providing useful tools for:
- understanding the transformations of the labour market
- identifying the key skills for the future
- navigating educational and professional choices.
The workshop also includes interactive activities and group challenges, designed to stimulate participation, discussion and collaboration among students.

Digital education for a more aware society
Participation in the fair is part of the activities of the Digital Facilitation Centres, which promote inclusion and digital citizenship through training courses aimed at citizens, students and educational communities.
Bringing these issues to a context such as Fa' la cosa giusta!, dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility, means reaffirming that the digital transition is also a cultural and educational issue: understanding technologies, using them consciously and developing critical skills is now an integral part of citizen education.
