In Italy, there are 9.6 million minors. During the lockdown, over eight and a half million children – from kindergarten to high school - were forced to stay at home.

 

A new report by Openpolis highlights how our country entered the health emergency with “previous issues in terms of digital inequality: from the competences of young Italians below the EU-average to inequality in the access to broadband and even the availability of PCs and tablets in schools.”

 

The analysis presented by the Digital Inequality Report address the changing scenario, following the emergency measures adopted by the state and regional authorities during the past 2-3 months.”
