Today is a special day for the over-65s at the “Centro Sociale Marvasi” in Rome’s Aurelio area. It’s their first day at school.
They will be welcomed by students from IIS Evangelista Torriccelli, the school managed by Headmaster Anna Maria Scala. Didactic activities will be coordinated by Professor Maria Mascheretti, a long-time supporter of Project Grandparents on the Internet for its educational value and influence on didactic activities, both inter terms of learning quality and inclusion.
The “Centro Sociale Marvasi,” which is headed by President Andrea Giannelli, is one of the 8 socio-recreational structures in Rome’s XIII Municipio, where 13% of elders have joined elder centres.
