Federica and AI: work in transformation

With Ital.IA Lab, free training and practical tools to tackle change

Understanding the present, preparing for the future. This is the challenge that more and more people are facing in the world of work, driven by rapid and profound changes. For this very reason, with the Ital.IA Lab project, promoted in collaboration with Microsoft Italia, we have launched Artificial Intelligence for Work, a series of free webinars designed to help people navigate the new possibilities offered by AI.

Among the participants, Federica Coccia, born in 1982, an accountant in a consortium of social cooperatives, decided to share her experience. Her testimony perfectly reflects the spirit of the project: learning to adapt, grow and get involved.

‘I came across the initiative on social media and decided to sign up. I found the webinars really interesting for keeping up to date, exchanging ideas and discovering new tools. The content is very enriching.’

Professional development to keep up

For Federica, the training offered by the Foundation is a valuable opportunity to keep pace with the evolving job market without losing sight of the practical, everyday aspects of her role: ‘These technologies are already becoming part of everyone's work. I wanted to understand how they work so that I could be better prepared and improve my productivity.’

The training modules enabled Federica to acquire new practical skills that she could put to use immediately. She rewrote her job description and updated her LinkedIn profile with more targeted and “indexed” language, which increased her visibility among job offers.

She started using tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT, experimenting with analysing small datasets and preparing draft documents, and testing features and applications on her own. She learned to approach the use of AI in her work without fear: ‘The course helped me break the ice with AI. Now I know how to get started, and every small step makes me want to learn more.’

Curiosity, enthusiasm and a desire to share

Federica follows the Foundation's activities with interest, saying, “I always recommend them because they are free, well done and practical. I also like the fact that each meeting has a different guest, with different perspectives and skills that complement each other”.

Federica also expressed great appreciation for the variety and constant updating of the training content: ‘It's great to have opportunities like this to exchange ideas and not stand still. They give you new stimuli and help you stay connected to the present.’

She has already chosen to participate in one of the Foundation's upcoming events, dedicated to online conflict management, confirming her ongoing commitment to updating her skills.
