The deadline for proposing candidatures is May 31, 2021. The tenth edition of the Global Junior Challenge is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the Centro Studi Erickson and is dedicated to Objective 4 of the Agenda 2030 on a quality education for everyone.

The GJC has two sessions:

  • Tullio De Mauro Award for Innovating and Inclusive Schools – for teachers and administrators of Italian schools.  The award is presented to an innovating teacher who has pursued high-quality, fair and inclusive education through the use of innovative technology, tools and methodologies, and to an innovating administrator who has guided a systemic innovation of their school by developing projects with the local and educational communities.
  • GJC 2021 – a high quality education for everyone – for public and private institutions, cultural cooperatives and associations, enterprise and private citizens who wish to enter projects (ongoing or recently ended) into one of the available categories based on the age of the targets.

The final event, which will be held in Rome on October 20-22, 2021, will include a showcase area for the finalist projects, conferences, workshops and activities for students and teachers. The awards ceremony will be held on October 22, 2021 in the prestigious “Sala Giulio Cesare” at Rome’s Campidoglio.

Over the past nine editions, the Global Junior Challenge has created a database of nearly 4000 projects developed around the world, selecting over 700 success cases and assigning over 100 awards.
