One Summer Camp, Five Labs

The second week of the English Summer Camp begins today at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

The summer camps provide interactive labs for learning English and exploring technology in a fun way to children aged 6-13.

In the video: Raffaele, one of last week’s protagonists, explains how he used Scratch to develop his first videogame together with Daniele. Scratch, which is a free coding language developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), makes it easy and fund to develop interactive stories, games and animations, and share them on the web.

Other videogames developed with Scratch at the Coding Lab:

The Coding Lab is just one of the five digital environments that the children explore during the week. In the Fab Lab, they learn about creative design and digital manufacturing. In the Immersive Lab, they learn about ludic-narrative experiences with immersive tools. In the Media Art Lab, they learn to express themselves through new technology, while in the Robotics Centre, they learn to build and program small robots. And naturally, there is plenty of time for games and activities outside!
