Recognising Prejudice

“I’m 24. I was born and grew up in Milan. I attended a classic lyceum and then studied Economy and Management at the Bocconi University, during which I spent a semester abroad in Singapore. In October 2021, I received a master’s degree in data science and Business Analytics from Bocconi. Before joining Microsoft, I also worked as an intern in consulting with KPMG and in marketing with a start-up. I have been in Microsoft since February 2020, where I work on the adoption of technology related to “Modern Work” for clients in the Fashion and Retail Sector."

Today, Bianca Cattadori, Customer Success Manager in Microsoft Italy, meets with the Coding Girls for the My Future? It’s Up to Me!" Campaign.

“I would like to review together with you my choices, both personal and professional, that allowed me to end up exploring the tech industry and working in in Microsoft," explains Bianca. "More specifically, I would like to concentrate on the various occasions that led me to clash with – even subconsciously – the stereotypes on the role of women in society and the world of science and technology, and which influenced or modified my career. I would like to exploit this opportunity to reflect openly on how often we are the ones who do not realize how hindered we are by prejudice.”

The role modelling session will take place a the Istituto Superiore Schiaparelli-Gramsci in Milan and streamed live on the Coding Girls Facebook Page.
